recently i went on vacation and while i was in the airport i needed to cross that metal detector. because i was with my family and they heard me speak spanish they searched all of us. i am chilean and was going to columbia. i live in new york. meanwhile, the white person with blond hair and blue eyes behind me just went through the metal detector and went happily on with his life. why do they suspect just becuse i'm latina that i'm dangerous

Truly sad. Were they white security or other races? You should complain about this to the human rights commission in your area, or rather the area and state where it happened. They want to hear about stuff like this.

Why are you so quick to see things like that? There are many things on a list that they look for when making a decision to search. It has happened to me a couple of times when my bf walked right through. Don't be so quick to assume, it does the heart damage, not to mention your state of mind.
