Do you think Darryl Hair's removal from test cricket umpiring was racially motivated?

After the test match fiasco, created by Inzamam ul-Haq %26amp; the Pakistani team, whereby Darryl Hair was voted off the umpires panel - did you see who voted for %26amp; against?

Australia, England %26amp; New Zealand voted for Hair - all with white cricketing board members.

India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, South Africa %26amp; the West Indies all voted against him. All have non-white governing bodies.

Doe that voting suggest a certain trend? I surely think so.

India .Pakistan and Bangladesh vote as a bloc whenever icc matters are discussed -and it's obvious they're biased .I reckon that it was a certainty that they wanted him gone (especially because of Murali)

That never occurred to me before, as I wasn't sad when he did. I never liked him but not for that reason. But now you mention it, that was probably behind it.

To be honest I never thought Hair was a great umpire -some of his LBW decisions were very dodgy.

However, I thought he showed great courage to correctly noball Murali and if some other umpires had shown the intestinal fortitude that he did we would not have a situation where the leading wicket taker in test cricket is a chucker.

In regard to the test fiasco with Pakistan, again he made a decision and stuck to it,unlike the recent decsions by the ICC.

India, Pakistan and Sri Lnaka control cricket -it's as simple as that.

Do you think Darryl Hair's removal from test cricket umpiring was racially motivated?

Yeah, for sure.

The West Indian umpire who was officating with hair at the time of the England/Pakistani test agreed with Hair at the time = but when the brown stuff hit the fan he backed out. No action was taken against him.

I haven't seen this umpire officiating in much else since though. He just proved, at the time, that he had no spine to back up his earlier call like Hair did. I beklieve he was acting under instructions from the WI cricket board not to back Hair.

He got what he deserved.

Was it not proved he had a faulty attitude.
