Hi.

I have my prom soon and this is the dress I'm buying:

or something incredibly similar, but definatly red and 50s inspired.

Although I'm not sure what to do with my hair.

I have natrually shoulder-length hair which is white-blonde (Very Marilyn Monroe colour) and natrually curly!

I wear my hair curly everyday so alot of people have said I should straighten it for the prom, but to be honest I really dont like having straight hair (it looks far less dramatic as my curly hair).

So what do you think I could do that would make use of my curly hair?

I cant go to a salon to have it done so having my auntie do it who is 'good with hair'

You could google marilyn monroe hairstyles and try to style your hair kind of like how she has styled hers.

curly all the way hun thats what im doing.. by the way i love that dress.. im prob gonna get something similar except more "look at me" type thing.. you should where ur hair up though like put some curls to the front of your head and then some at the back then the rest up in a bun with pretty diomons all over and a cute tiara type thing.. thats what im doing! good luck %26lt;33

I think you should "work that" curly hair! Don't straighten it if you don't like it straightened!

most off it should be tied back, you need ringlets down the back, high on top, and some smooth bits down your face, watch 'back to the future' for inspiration

put relaxers in your hair and get it done like Hannah Montana

Ok, so I'd wash your hair before you leave (like 2 hours ahead) then dry it. Straiten your hair, then using a 1 - 2.5 inch barrel, curl you hair in 2-4 inch sections w/out the clamp. Then put a 1 or 1.5 inch black headband in your hair.

or just put it up in a messy bun (since your hair is pretty short, you should just put it up in a high ponytail.

as for makeup, if you don't know what to do, use a medium red lip color, a pinkish blush, mascara, and a dark/medium brown eyeshadow.

Look at pictures of dita von teese. She has very 40's-50's inspired hair styles and she always looks so glamorous.
