Does anyone have tips on how to make my hair straightener work better?

You can go to a sally's near you they have a lot of professional stuff for the hair. or if you buy a hair straightener that works super good and it won't be on your hair that much. i have this one -----PORCELAIN SERIES---- just ask for this one you can try it for 90 days and if you don't like it just return it just save you receipt . it would be better if you buy the sally's card because you get special prices. if you have any questions you can also visit http://www.sallybeauty.com/

good luck

ok...that person b4 me is stupid. this question has nothing to do with a moustache.

the people in your first picture's hair is short. i think you mean your hair is like this

http://images.jupiterimages.com/common/d... ...except shorter... just grow your hair out long, the curls will get loger and weighted down. if you hair is short now, they can spring up and give you an afro. even shoulder lenght hair. it also depends on how thick your hair is. if it's really thick like the people in this web page:

Do Japanese worship white people subconsciously? Please read carefully before responding.?

Asking for your opinion. Because I've noticed that in anime a very popular art form in Japan most protagonist and heroes are white or have white names. For example, a popular show called dragon ball z features goku, anyway when they power up to their fullest power their hair turn blonde and eyes blue. In addition they are called "SAYAN" warriors that sounds a bit like "ARYAN" or master race don't you think. Probably the most famouse example would be Sailor moon. The girl with the most power is white with blonde hair and blue eyes. Tell me what you think on this topic.

Do Japanese worship white people subconsciously? Please read carefully before responding.?

you could have something there...it could be possible...but idk honestly...YOU GET A STAR!!!! ^_^

also i noticed when i was there is that its not only anime that has mostly white ppl..from what i saw,it was basically all of the animation

Do Japanese worship white people subconsciously? Please read carefully before responding.?

Yes, I heard that the Japanese will pay a very high premium for a white social escort.

Do Japanese worship white people subconsciously? Please read carefully before responding.?

This is white supremacist propaganda.

Do Japanese worship white people subconsciously? Please read carefully before responding.?

Yes, but name a country, ethnicity, group of people who hasn't yet been brainwashed by the "liberal" media, yes i brough out the "media card" because whether you like to aknowledge it or not They Do have a Big part in the brainwashing.

Do Japanese worship white people subconsciously? Please read carefully before responding.?

I wouldn't say "worship". But i did notice that they have too many blonde anime characters with round blue eyes. I don't know why that is.

Do Japanese worship white people subconsciously? Please read carefully before responding.?

Of course they do, because white men have such big penises compared to them........:)

Do Japanese worship white people subconsciously? Please read carefully before responding.?

My aunt married a Japanese guy and they live in Japan, she said that is true, blame the media!

Usually a pretty woman is a tall blonde with blue eyes!

Do Japanese worship white people subconsciously? Please read carefully before responding.?

most people in japan say (and i have to agree) they are not made to look like real people.

Do Japanese worship white people subconsciously? Please read carefully before responding.?

I guess I can see that, I mean now that you mention it, Blonde hair and blue eyes is a dominant thing in White people, and I am thinking it is no coincidence that all sayians had blonde hair and blue eyes when powered up, I mean there are other color combinations they could have used. On Naruto, he has Blonde hair and blue eyes, so I dont know, you have a good point.

Do Japanese worship white people subconsciously? Please read carefully before responding.?

I've noticed this too. The main character tends to have blonde hair and blue eyes. Something everyone knows asians can't have.

Do Japanese worship white people subconsciously? Please read carefully before responding.?

You are reading WAY too much into two cartoons. Japanese people do not worship white people in any way.

Getting braids . What brand of hair should I get .?

I am getting corn rolls soon and I want to try a differant brand of hair . I usually get yacky pony but it seems to unbraid from my hair easily . I'm female and losing my hair?

I'm 27 years old, white, female. My hair is past shoulder-length, brown and naturally curly. I use Alberto mousse in it when I wear it curly. I use Frizz-Ease hair serum in it when I straighten it with a ceramic straightener.

It's been falling out in hand-fulls when I shower. I'm constantly losing hair when it's dry. I'm afraid that I'm going bald. I know women don't go bald by my hair is in really bad shape. It's getting really thin.

I don't style/shampoo every day. I've been going as long as possible between straightenings. Hair products never used to make my hair fall out so much. I've been using them for 15 years.

Am I lacking vitamins in my diet or something? What foods are good to eat to make your hair stronger/healthier? Should I cut my hair short? :( How do I deal?

I'm female and losing my hair?

no hon try this in my moms country ecuador they say after u take a shower take a lil piece of ur hair (dont pull it out)

then open a paper clip so it looks like a metal stick then put the hair on it and burn it on the stove not (high flame!)

then keep it and continue doing this every time when u take a shower my aunt did this when hair is falling out too much now she has no more hair falling out.

I'm female and losing my hair?

some times it can be caused by infections

go c a doctor

I'm female and losing my hair?

Sometimes it could actually be the weather or the products you use in your hair. Not to scare you but my aunt was having that problem and it was very bad so she went to the doctor. He did a thyroid test on her and that was the problem her thyroid was producing to much of a hormone so now she is on medication to control the thyroid and she hasn't had that problem with her hair since.

I'm female and losing my hair?

unfortunately women do loose their hair. has any female in your family had thinning hair? sometimes it can be stress related. it sucks! all the women in my fam have thinning hair and the men so thick it looks like a rug!

I'm female and losing my hair?

I'm a male so I really don't know but Ive herd that diabetes, Cancer ,and lupus cause hair to fall out but i really don't want to worry you i would just go to the doctors to make sure.

I'm female and losing my hair?

my hair is just like that but i have bleached it %26amp; used hot irons, etc. my hair is really damaged, yours might be too.

I'm female and losing my hair?

that was happening to me i was goling thru a lot of stress and the produ7cts u use have a lot to do. change shampoos and maybe stop putting to much nproducts in ur hair and that will work.

I'm female and losing my hair?

Try to eat raw vegetables every day like carrots,broccoli,cauliflower,tomatoes,ce... kinds of food is excellent for hair growth.I don't know how healthy your eating but I know a couple of people with the hair problem and I know their diet is terrible.Good luck to you my friend.

I'm female and losing my hair?

You need to see a doctor ASAP.

I'm female and losing my hair?

I would start with going to the doctor and having a physical including blood work. That will tell you if there are any deficiencies in you hormones, vitiamins or minerals. If that all looks good go and see a dermatologist. They can help you with thinning hair in many cases. I am a nurse and work for a derm doc. She frequently tells patients that if it isn't hormonal or a lack of vitiamins that they should use MENS Rogaine. The men's version is stronger than the womens and we have patients see a better improvement with it! Good Luck!

I'm female and losing my hair?

I read that if you eat very little, if not at all u can start to lose hair so mabey thats it

I'm female and losing my hair?

If you are using hair care products to straighten natural curls or curl naturally straight hair you are damaging the follicles. Some people may do this for 25 or 30 years before there are any noticeable changes or loss of hair while others may see a change in just 1 year. To curb any possibility of infections you should consult a physician but seriously LAY OFF THE FANCY HAIR PRODUCTS!!! Use a very mild shampoo like Johnson's baby shampoo for a while and your scalp will heal. You might take vitamins (especially E) and this will help strengthen your damaged follicles. You might try some oil treatments too. Good luck I hope you will be alright.

Very tight curly, dry hair, please help!?

My daughter is 3 years old, she black/white mixed. Her hair is very curly, dry, flyaway, and easily knotted. Her hair is not thick but she has a lot of hair. We've used everything from Pink Oil to LIV to grease (the blue magic and coconut ones) to hair lotion.....point is, we've tried a lot and nothing really works.

I refuse to put anything chemical on her hair so I'm not looking for those type of products. What else would work? i've figured she needs a good moisturizer but her hair just soaks it up and dries out again.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Very tight curly, dry hair, please help!?

Being mixed race myself, I feel I'm in a position to answer this. First off, I hope you're not washing the hair too much, you should, at most, be washing it once a week ideally ten days to two weeks- do not use a shampoo which contains alcohol as this dries the hair out further. Every time you wash it you should give the hair a deep conditioning treatment e.g. hot oil, put a shower cap or similar over the hair and run a blow dryer over it, this enables the hair to really soak up the oil. Then style as normal. Grease the scalp and use a product on the hair. Liv is actually a really good product, it's surprising it hasn't tamed the hair. I've never rated pink oil moisturizer. Carrot Oil by organics is a good one.

Another tip- you can't treat this hair like it's European hair. Don't leave the hair out- even if it looks cute- she won't thank you when it's time to comb it (speaking from experience here)! Learn how to cornrow or do little cute plaits, that way it will be neat and won't get as dry.

One more tip, you should really be buying products that are designed for kids...adult products can have things like placenta extract for protein. This isn't really something you want to use on a 6 year old. Liv is fine/ carrot oil should be fine.

good luck

Very tight curly, dry hair, please help!?

i'm glad u asked that question cuz i've always asked myself that question. and guess wat? i've found the answer...the texture of your hair is not necessarily genetic, it can be changed naturally. the reason why some people have that smooth, soft hair and other have coarse, tightly curled hair is because their body makes different amounts of two very important things. i figured this out while i was taking genetics class in college.

if u notice, hair texture doesn't neccessarily go with race although most time it does as more caucasians, asians, etc have smooth, soft, shiny hair. and also i don't want to go into the fact that indians are really black ppl with straight hair(if u know ur history and about the dravidians who then later mixed with the aryans which led to the hindu caste system in india...also, have u ever heard of the untouchables?) and not to mention the aboriginals in australia.

so we can see that hair texture is not a race thing its biological and totally based on diet. yes, it's totally based on diet. ur diet over a period of time affects ur hair especially when two certain nutrients are present. everything u eat affects not only ur hair but ur reproductive organs. if a group of ppl have a diet rich in certain nutrients, it will show up in a man's semen and a woman's reproductive organs. if a mans semen is rich in two nutrients and a woman's reproductive organs are rich in two nutrients then their offspring will have soft, smooth hair. it's that simple. their child's body will continue to produce those nutrients. it's really simple to have a super smart, strong, healthy baby through diet.

also, let me point out that there is no genes that makes someone hair straight or curly. also there is no genes that makes someone skin black, white, yellow, pink, red or blue. genes only contain information that tells your body to produce alot of melanin, jus a little melanin or somewhere in between base on what u inherit from your parents. For example, if a baby is mixed (say, one parent is black and the other white), then half of the genes he/she inherits will tell its body to produce a lot of melanin while the other half will tells its body to produce little or no melanin閳ヮ洑o balance out the baby will come out somewhere in between or what we would call brown. (although it閳ユ獨 more complicated than that i'm just trying not to use genetic terms such as incomplete dominance and polygenic traits, etc. which some ppl may not understand) but that's what would happen in simpler terms though. and the same goes for hair. so in essence, you can easily change the color of your skin to lighter or darker based on what u put in ur body which will then tell your body to produce less or more melanin. if u notice, there's alot of ppl living in hot climates for countless generations and still have light-skin while others have dark skin. it's really just based on their diet. don't get me wrong, the sun will give u a tan, i'm just saying overall their diet will prevail.

what's really funny is that ppl make a big deal out of hair texture and skin color when they both can be easily manipulated through diet. and it's also funny that these two superficial things is what ppl use to put someone in a certain race. let me also point out that race is not biological it is a social construct. there is no such thing as a black race, white race, asian race, hispanic race(although i use those terms in my writing, it's only for differentiation purposes). There is only one race閳?the human race. the physical traits that make so called "races" different is very small. for example, humans and chimps shared 98.6% of their DNA and look at the profound difference. in fact, only about .01% of genes make humans phenotypically different from each other. so blacks, whites, asians, etc share 99.99% of the same genetic material. also there's more genetic variation within one population("races") as opposed to two different population(or "races") of ppl. so the things that make us different are trivial and superficial looking at it from a genetic point of view. we can inter-breed and produce fertile offsprings etc, etc so that goes to prove we're all the same. And not to mention the fact that in organ transplants, ppl from different 閳ユ笧aces閳?can be a good match and a good donor for a organ transplant. We are all the same inside and out.

for some reason i have a strong feeling that those big top scientists know about this but are reluctant to tell the public. u know, it's all about profits. and they prefer to sell you tons of products and make billions of dollars off ur ignorance. that's how it is in the real world. in fact, some top L'Oreal hair scientists said they found the difference between straight hair and curly hair. they said the difference had to do with the hair follicle. round follicles produce straight hair and curly follicles produce curly hair. while that is true, what is missing is that there are two things involved in the development of hair. one thing makes hair straight or curly and the other thing determines hair texture. so u can have a person with soft, smooth, shiny hair with curls or someone with thick coarse straight hair. blacks have a over abundance of the nutrient that causes hair to curl while they have little of the nutrient that gives their hair that smooth, soft, texture(in fact, they have the nutrient, it's just that their body use it for other purposes...the only way it affects the hair is if their body has a surplus of that nutrient then it will change their hair texture). in essence, blacks can actually naturally change their hair texture by providing their body with this important nutrient. and not only will it affect their hair texture but also the hair texture of their offsprings they have in the future. since i'm a upcoming scientist though i'm planning to educate ppl on this topic, which, as you can see, i'm very passionate about. if anyone wants more info you can email me.

My hair, can you help?

i'm mixed(black and white), and my hair is straight now and short and won't grow out. but when i was like 2 or 3 my hair was curly, long, and silky. but when i got my hair cut around when i was 4 my hair never grew out like that again. can you tell me, why this happened? i'm 14 now.

My hair, can you help?

It is VERY common for peoples hair to change, no matter what their race. A haircut would NOT change it though. The shape of the hair is determined by the shape of the hair follicle. If your body went through a major change at that age, such as an illness of emotional stress that could have been it. It may have been something as simple as you getting a growth spurt at that age. As for it not growing, think about your routine and what you are doing with your hair. Chemical services such as relaxing or coloring? Heat implements such as flat irons, curling irons or blow dryers? Using sup-par styling products? All these things can damage your hair. If it is none of those things your hair just may not be able to grow any longer. Everyone's hair has a point at which it will just STOP getting any longer. That is why someone who has never got a haircut in their lifetime may have long hair but it's not trailing behind them on the floor. A trip to your stylist may be in order. Cut off any split ends you may have, get a deep conditioning treatment and keep getting regular trims.

My hair, can you help?

its like with dogs,

when you cut dogs hair thats long and straight

it never grows back that way.. its just the way it is.

My hair, can you help?

i dont know how to helpyou

Hair Dye Help!?

i have blackish-brown hair and i want to dye it to a very light blonde like almost white...i have a hair dye package and on the box it shows two package things of lightening activator powder.. but in the instructions it shows only to use one...i dont know what my hair will look like because it doesnt show the bar on the side of the box...

any idea on why there are two packs and only one in the instructions...???

and if you have any comments please help?!

Hair Dye Help!?

Is there any hair color on your hair right now? Or is the blackish-brown you natural hair color? If it is hair color, it will be very hard to pull it to a nice blond tone. It will be hard to anyway, but Xtra hard if its hair dye. The upkeep on it will also be a pain in the butt, but if you must do it, I suggest mixing your bleach packets one at a time. Usually equal parts bleach and developer untill it makes kindof a frosting like texture. Wait a few minutes and see if it gets thicker, then mix a little more developer in if needed. Bleach will blister your scalp, so when you apply it, do the hair about 1/4 in from your scalp first, then go back and do the part close to your head. The heat from your head will lift that part fastest anyway. Good Luck! Oh yeah, I would only attempt this if your hair is fairly healthy to begin with. If it isn't, it will most likely fall out before you reach the desired color of blond. Another tip%26gt; If your hair is colored dark brown, blond hair dye will not lift the dark brown color out. Only bleach will pull it out. Then if it were to turn a brassy orange color, you would probably have to tone it with a light blond color. This procedure can be very hairy! LOL

Hair Dye Help!?

DO NOT dye your hair blonde...trust me girls with dark dark hair have to keep it that way it will turn out horribly...espically if you do it yourself. If you must insist getting it done you to a salon but if you dye it blonde, you WILL regret it!

Hair Dye Help!?

do not use a box if your dying your hair blonde, it will be yellow, and it will be dead. do not do it

Hair Dye Help!?

I'm gonna say the same thing. I've tried it, it was a mistake. Every hair dresser I've been to since has been pissed at me. Don't try and do this yourself. Your hair will probably be orange.

Hair Dye Help!?

It wont turn very light... it will go a funky brassy color.

As the other answerer said, dont do it! Or get it professionally done, seek their advice before doing it at home.. you could ruin your hair.

Hair Dye Help!?

It might turn your hair orange why would you want to dye it blonde? Men like brunettes. They think blondes are pretty but which would you take home the dumb blonde or the brilliant brunette?

Hair Dye Help!?

As you age, your hair can go darker. Mine has.

As for dying your hair platnum blonde with a home kit....AVOID IT!! You will end up with orange hair. Go to a salon and have it done professionally. A stylist has the experience to bleach blonde and will have better product than that which is sold over the counter.

Hair Dye Help!?

whatever you do do not dye your hair blond it will turn out wrong it will be like a orange color thats what mine did and now i have to let it grow back out

Hair Dye Help!?

First of all DON'T,but if you really want to dye your hair.First DON'T dye it so soon, wait ,go tomorrow to the store where you bought your hair product and verify another product were it shows like a piece of your hair color and see what it looks like. But in my opinion you have to dye your hair very light brown, and then dye it very blond.Good Bye and Good Luck!!!!!!!!

but ya definetly not the fro! PLEASE! LoL jk!

How would puffy hair look on me?

yeah, sure. i think that its an outdated style that coming back with the huge sunglasses and retro clothes. just wear clothes that match that era or people will think you're crazy...

How would puffy hair look on me?

I battle my naturally incredibly poofy/frizzy hair. I have a hard time thinking anyone would want hair like mine. I mean, it's healthy since I exclusively air dry and don't use heat products, but it looks hideous. It's very difficult to manage, and combs/brushes are useless and damaging.

If you don't have hair naturally like that, then...I suggest you don't try and get hair like that. Honestly.

If you want to, though, then do it. it's your hair. Just know that you'll have to wait for length.

How would puffy hair look on me?

Is that the Mars Volta? I love it:D

Why don't white guys approach me?

i am black/white with auburn hair... 5'5"... pear shape... size 8... mocha skin... super curly hair... big lips... almond eyes... got a really artsy style... i think i'm pretty but only black guys and hispanic guys try to talk to me... unless it's those ghetto type white guys which i'm not into... cud it have something to do with me living in mississippi... not that i just really wanna white guy but i'd like to have my options more open... what can i do to be more approachable to guys of all races?

Why don't white guys approach me?

well, i have prettymuch answered this ? a couple times and got best answers so lets try again. you sound really hot from the description. just my type. and im not a "ghetto white guy," although i do listen to rap. i didn't just start like most white people (fad), i always have, just as i always have and still listen to rock r%26amp;b, classical, and everything else (except country and techno) i am pretty smart and most of the time i am more interested in what is between your ears than your thighs. im in GA and i am just going to copy and paste the answer to the old ? (although i graduated now):

OK. i am a white man and a senior in high school and i think i can clear this up for you. i have liked this girl for a while now (since 9th grade) and it just so happens that she is black. her name is staci. we used to talk and flirt and everything, but we had an argument and fell out of contact for about a year. she now (2 years later) drops hints (eye contact, standing near me, sighing audiably, saying "hi") that she wants to talk again. it is just that i am scared to death to talk to her. one reason is because she is black. this is why: 1. black women are very unlikely to be attracted to white men. i have NEVER approached a black woman that didnt talk to me first. it just would make me very nervous and scared of rejection. 2. i feel like i cant live up to the "standard" she may be used too. most black men i know are more muscular than white men. don't get me wrong, i play football and lift weights, and am not a scrawny dude but i had to work extremly hard in the weight room(1st in, last to leave) for what i have, and that is still just mediocre compared to some of my black teammates who seamed to just naturally be strong. most of the black men i know are 5'11''-6'4'' and i am only 5'7''. that is OK with white women (most white women i know are around 5'2''). staci happens to be 5'2'' also, but all her boyfriends that i know were like 6'2''. 3. i have heard black women say that they would never date a white man because he wouldnt treat her the same as a black man. i really have no clue what this means, but i think it has to do with that most white people are steriotyped as all work-minded and no fun. i am fun, once you get to know me (i will be shy at first, but once i open up you will be laughing a lot). well, to sum up, yes, most white men would date black women if they had the values that they are attracted too. i think that most dont try (including me) because thay are insecure both mentally, and physically, and are almost 100% sure of rejection b/c of the fact that they are white and therefore don't "measure up."

well, was that enough? also it is even harder in my area becase i am the minority even though i am white. my HS was about 92% black. the only white person i know that went to my school was my sister! i think it would be easier in an environment like the north where minds may be more open (just a theory), or in an area that is about half and half or white majority

Why don't white guys approach me?

I really don't think you can do anything. Everyone has their personal taste and definition of beauty. Also, a lot of people are only really attracted to their own race. Its not a matter of them being racist, its just what they are used to and what they find attractive.

Why don't white guys approach me?

Maybe white guys are shyer who knows. You sound very pretty to me so I dont have a clue why they dont approach you. It seems like you are doing a good job attracting some men already. Like i said give it time. You sound exotically beautiful. Mz America is very accurate alot of white guys are afraid to approach. They may feel totally intimidated by you. Be yourself and smile when they are around.

Why don't white guys approach me?

Why dont you approach them instead?

Why don't white guys approach me?

beauty comes from within

Why don't white guys approach me?

Alot of them arent confident enough but they want to. I know this for a fact. Im dating an average white guy. AND by seeing the comments on here, we arent exactly at the top of the list due to racist people making ignorant comments about us and stereotyping. My boyfriend admitted that he was afraid to date me at first because of all the ignorant things he's heard. But from the first date,he just sees me as a beautiful woman that every other man stares down and that he's lucky to have. We're engaged now.

Why don't white guys approach me?

You sound alot like me. I am mixed race as well and have pretty much all of those same attributes. I also live in Tennessee (Memphis) so I kind of get what you mean about living in Mississippi. Anyway, I do think that there are cultural differences in terms of who guys find attractive. I find that black men definitely look at me and approach me more than white men. I have dated men of all races, but when I think about it, I usually have to approach white guys myself rather than them approaching me. It takes alot of guts, but you can do it!

Why don't white guys approach me?

First of all, I don't think you're Black at all.

Some experiment with the forum is what you're up to.

So obvious.

Why don't white guys approach me?

you sound like a very beautiful girl. My opinion would be to go out with who is attracted to you. You will most likely have the best chemistry with who finds you the sexist, by the way Hispanic and black guys are the hottest guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why don't white guys approach me?

Wow, You sound very racist. If you have problems getting white guys it's probably because you want them so much. I prefer black men but I get approached by many men of different races white/black/Hispanic/Asian/whatever. Usually they are very educated and have great manners. You probably get the wrong kind of guys (personality wise) because you throw off bad vibes.

Instead of looking for a guy by his race, why not trying to see him for the kind of person he is inside. :)

Why don't white guys approach me?

Ok, I am a white southern guy so I think I can give a qualified answer.

90% of rednecks are atleast a little touch racist, it is just been instilled in us by our fathers and it is nothing we have 100%control of. Sounds like I copout even to me and I am the one that said it.

That said, I am pretty much over it and personaly I think I am almost to the point that I dont see color anymore. I work in an industry where if you cant work with someone of any color and nationality then you are not going to make it. And working along side all my black/hispanic/ and every other race I can think of I can see somethign very clearly. Color does not mater for anything in this world. Color does not decide if you are a good person, or a bad person. a hard worker or a lazy person, a smart person or a dump person. All you are is a human being the same as everyone else, it is up to you to make yourself something past that.

Only bigots can make a clear decision about someone just based on their aperance, wether it is because you are a diferant color, fat, thin, smart, slow, christian, pagan. you name it someone outthere is a big enough hypocrit that they think they can judge you based on one factor in your life that you have no control of what so ever. So dont lay to much stock in the opinions of others.

So dont let the fact that some white guys ignore you bother you, they are probably just self consious about what their friends may say if there where to date someoen whose skin is darker than vanilla icecream and are unwilling to live their own lives due to their fears.

Lastly, dont go changing yourself to try and atract someone who does not want you for who you are. They will not be in love with "you" only the image you have tried to project.

Why don't white guys approach me?

really.

I'm also dark, and white men hit on me all the time.

interesting question

My sister wants to be white! HELP!?

So, I'm almost 16 and I am white and black, but I look white [ I have blonde hair, blue eyes, and white skin]. My little sister is five 闄?and she's having major problems. Everyone in the household is white except me and her. She goes to a school where there are all different types of people. About a year ago, she started saying that white was pretty, and black wasn't. I started making sure that every day I would tell her how beautiful she was after that. After a while, she didn't say anything else about it. A few days ago she started saying stuff again. She made the comment " I wish the whole world was white, I hate black people.閳?I have no idea what to do! She never hears anyone saying anything bad about anyone because of their skin color. In our family, we love all colors. She never sees her dads side [which is mainly black], but when she did, she seemed happy to be mixed. My boyfriend is black, and she likes him a lot. Any advice? Please help! What do I do? What do I say? Thank You.

My sister wants to be white! HELP!?

Let her do what she wants

My sister wants to be white! HELP!?

Well I understand that your sister feels white and bright is prettier and history shows she is correct in some way. I feel you should tell her that all people are beautiful and if she judges people by looks that is wrong and it hurts people feelings when they feel you think they are ugly. Tell her what if someone told her she was an ugly because of her white/bright color ask her how would she feel. She wouldn't feel so good.

My sister wants to be white! HELP!?

Do nothing she`s immature ,i`m also mixed,.She will eventually learn to love a person no matter what color they are as i did.Love is about respect first and looks ..far down the line in importance!!! If the whole world was white it would be boring and there would still be prejudice ,not about skin color but about how you look.

My sister wants to be white! HELP!?

You need to reinforce about the inside of the person. Are they kind, nice, loyal, considerate, tolerant, respectful. Maybe you could get pictures of her dads side...That is a beginning for you....

My sister wants to be white! HELP!?

well if she is living around mostly white people her people of choice well most likely be white. she just need to interact with more blacks. shes only a kid they dont know better im mixed race also and i wanted to be all black but as i got older i later appreciated myself being mixed because it was unique and ladies liked it also...haha lol but i think she will be fine just make sure she dont grow up thinking black is bad.. everyone is beautiful..

My sister wants to be white! HELP!?

tell her god made every one and every color beatiful just because some1 is dinffernt does mean their ulgy their just beatiful in their own way

My sister wants to be white! HELP!?

Do what you feel is right.

My sister wants to be white! HELP!?

I've been white all my life, but I've always had a special affinity for dark skinned and/or mixed race people. I think they look exotic. Your sister is just having an identity crisis, that she will probably grow out of in a few more years. As I get older I see it more and more, that life is like a game of cards...like in Kenny Rogers song about the Gambler. Every hand's a loser and every hand's a winner. It all depends on your attitude and how you play the game. Hang in there little sister. Black is beautiful!!

My sister wants to be white! HELP!?

its common nature to segregate she's only 5 in a half, kids say stupid stuff and at that age they dont fully understand what they are saying

My sister wants to be white! HELP!?

My guess is that someone at school is making remarks about black girls being ugly. Probably something he picked up off the local rednecks. See if the school will investigate and do something, including involving the police if a child is breaking the law.

My sister wants to be white! HELP!?

She's hearing this kind of thing from someone. If it's just started up recently she may have heard someone say something at school. The best thing to do is ask her why she feels the way she does. That will give you some idea of where it came from and you can work on giving her advice that is more appropriate to the situation.

She's 5 1/2 so she's repeating what she's hearing. If it's not from someone at home it has to be from friends she plays with or at school. Just because many different types of people go there doesn't mean they all believe everyone is equal. Continue to tell her how special she is and ask her why she is saying that she hates black people. Be patient and understand that she doesn't actually understand what she's saying. Remind her of the people she knows and likes who are black and teach her the importance of seeing each person as an individual. Explain how hurtful it would be if people she likes who are black heard her say that she hates them just because they are black. She's lucky to have a big sister that will take the time to teach her.

My sister wants to be white! HELP!?

At 5 1/2 it's unlikely that she is saying anything with any meaning. She is just to young to form any meaningful opinions. A child that age reflects what she feels she needs to say to generaly fit in and be accepted. Having said that, even though she's a child, she is a person, and people are NEVER one dimentional. What I mean is even though she has a strong desire to be accepted in the family, she will also test boundaries just to see if she can identify where they are.

I think that is what she is doing. She knows she is of mixed race, %26amp; maybe she doesn't completely understand it, but she knows enough about racial issues to understand that it can be a factor as to where she is accepted. Her statement "I hate all black people" is just a test of her boundaries.

If I were you, I would tell her "No Honey, we don't hate people just because of the colour of their skin, that is wrong"

If you truly love all colour as you say, then allow her to assert herself as whatever race she chooses. You seem to have identified more as black, so if she chooses to identify more as white then LET HER. I doubt that she is denying her black heritage intentionaly. But you live in a society that polarizes people by race, %26amp; your little sis has picked up on that.

If you demonstrate to her that you will accept her no matter what she chooses as her racial identity then she will learn by your example that she can be accepted equally whether she declares herself black, or white.

My sister wants to be white! HELP!?

yeah but if she said she hates white people i bet it would be fine right im not saying what shes doing is fine but i bet if she said screw whites itll not be as bad as a moment as now.

My daughter has very curly fine hair which gets frizzy.?

she is only 12 and she is white but her hair looks kinky and has no shine. If i gel and don't blow dry it is o.k till she sleeps and then in the morning it looks like she has an afro. I feel terrible and don't understand why it is and how to fix it . Please help

My daughter has very curly fine hair which gets frizzy.?

Gels are not good b/c they contain alcohol, which drys out hair and for curly hair you need those natural oils! I would recommend a ceramic top of the line straightener with a heat protectant like silk therapy, it's an investment but it WORKS. I have a CHI flat iron and there are many brands of hair products that you spray on right before ironing to protect and made your hair shiny and nice.

With the flat iron I use (I have VERY curly frizzy hair) the straightness lasts the two days between washings :) And don't use shampoo everytime, either just rinse or condition the ends. Hope I helped!

If she wants to wear it down and curly, mousse, creams and putty are best, esp. if have no alcohol in them. I use Suave products (Healthy Curls mousse and finishing spray) and let air dry. Suave is nice and cheap and still works great.

My daughter has very curly fine hair which gets frizzy.?

A hair straightener might work.

My daughter has very curly fine hair which gets frizzy.?

You need to use like a silk therphy or a frizz oil and straighten her hair with a ceramic flat iron and this will help the frizz and last a few days well tell the next wash.

My daughter has very curly fine hair which gets frizzy.?

Get her John Frieda hair serum it works wonders. You apply after your bath or shower...its smooths your hair and makes it nonfrizzy. It also smells great and its not expensive!Good luck and hope I helped.

My daughter has very curly fine hair which gets frizzy.?

Ok, try to straighten it at night before she goes to bed and put it up in something, or you can take to get it relaxed, or you can put a bunch of Conditioner in it and wrap it up in a small plastic bag and leave it for an hour that should tame it as well. Good luck. Muha!

My daughter has very curly fine hair which gets frizzy.?

You should try products by Pantene Pro V for women of color, my best friend is white but has kinky hair and I gave her my shampoo to use and it knock those kinks right out.....

My daughter has very curly fine hair which gets frizzy.?

Although your daughter is white, you still may have to get her black hair care products. Try leave in conditioner after you wash it and blow dry it. Or take her to the salon and get a hot oil treatment. Using gel really only works for the moment it also dries her hair out more, which makes it more frizzier. Use flat irons on her hair and only wash every other day or so instead of everyday.

My daughter has very curly fine hair which gets frizzy.?

I use the John Frieda (sp) Frizz Ease line. I too have curly hair and the products work wonders for frizz prone hair. The prices aren't bad either. Good luck and hope this helps.

My daughter has very curly fine hair which gets frizzy.?

Try the Treseme frizz controller, my hair is the same way and if you try to straiten it it'll take at least 2 hours before she goes to sleep and after she wakes up.

My daughter has very curly fine hair which gets frizzy.?

Mom? Are you my mom? I didn't know that you used this website!!! If you aren't my mom then sorry for bothering you, but you definitely sound like my mom and i'm 12 with kinky hair. I have the same problem; sleeping makes my hair messy.

That's really mean that you said I have an afro i don't really and even if i say i do that doesn't mean you can because it's insulting and mean. I would appreciate it if you would please NOT SHARE MY PERSONAL PROBLEMS WITH THE ENTIRE ANSWERS COMMUNITY IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! OR THEIRS!

I would appreciate it if you would just keep quiet about this and don't talk to me about it because frankly I have enough problems in my life without you. Sorry but I really don't want you to talk about this lets forget it ever happened and don't do it again because now i know your account name.

Again, if you're not my mother I'm sorry, this is kind of awkward.......

My daughter has very curly fine hair which gets frizzy.?

The absolute best product to use is called Silk Drops from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Walgreens, CVS, etc. Its awesome!

What color should I do my hair?

Darker or lighter? Which is hotter? Its kinda hard to tell from my pics since there blk%26amp;white. But my hair right now is a darker blonde with naturally blonde highlights. Let me know what you think about this.

http://www.myspace.com/susy_qxoxo

What color should I do my hair?

depends on your skin tone as to which would look best on you. I think fair skinned people can do almost anything, and look good. If you have an olive color to your skin you want to be more selective with your choice.

What color should I do my hair?

definitly darker. brunette is hot rite now

What color should I do my hair?

gentlemen prefer blondes.

What color should I do my hair?

you should go with the darker since you have blonde right now and if you have light skin tone it will look really nice darker

What color should I do my hair?

light brown

What color should I do my hair?

I'm a blonde (probably about your color) and have tried going dark in the past! It was okay...but when i look back at pictures...dark was not my thing! I'm fairly tan and my natural color is probably a lighter shade of brown and having the blonde highlights just brightens it up! The brown was really blaah!

What color should I do my hair?

I like it just the way it is!

What color should I do my hair?

hmm i like ur hair the way it is now..but if ur gunna change it id go with a darker color

What color should I do my hair?

YOU COOL. VERY COOL. TODAY I COME BACK IN CHECHNYA. WRITE ME ON MY MAIL. SHIHANY2@YAHOO.COM. WHEN I COMR BACK I WRITE YOU. OK?

What color should I do my hair?

Why don't you have it PINK, my ex did, she really HOT !! its different......

Caring for my hair extensions?

I just got back from Bangkok with awsome new hair extensions! They turned out really well and the hair now reaches my elbow. Wearing them up my hair looks gorgeous but out it looks a little fake... anyway I'm wondering how to care for them? Its real asian hair and I'm white but my hairs been coloured to match and they have been glued in with a hot glue gun about a centimetre from my scalp. How to I wash and condition - what shampoos and conditioners are best and how often should I wash my hair? How long will they last? Any tips would be greatly appreciated :)

Caring for my hair extensions?

I used john frieda get it straight shampoo and conditioner. Once every 3 days is about all you need to leave between shampoos.

Do not brush your extensions when they are wet. Next time if you choose to get your extensions redone go for the sew in type, they look better when they grow out and are easier to care for.

Don't use shampoos that have too much protein in them, it will make the hair swell. Do not bleach the extensions. If you know how to blow wave, your extensions will look really good.

Hope this helps a bit.

Do Albinos have a stronger or lesser sense of smell because of their white nose hairs?

Because our ability to retaine scents is based upon how many particles are attched to our nose hairs for a particular odour would the pigmentation of those hairs affect our sense of smell at all!?

Do Albinos have a stronger or lesser sense of smell because of their white nose hairs?

Actually, our sense of smell is not dependent on the nose hairs, let alone what colors they may be. Hair only serves as a physical filter to keep large particles out of our airways.

Smell is triggered when molecules of whatever chemical happen to land on G-protein receptors in our nose. These G-proteins are not located on the hairs, but rather on the cilia of olfactory receptor neurons (nerve cells in the nose).

Do Albinos have a stronger or lesser sense of smell because of their white nose hairs?

I doubt it. I haven't heard anything about an improved or worsened sense of smell due to pigmentation of hairs. Perhaps nose size.

Do Albinos have a stronger or lesser sense of smell because of their white nose hairs?

I don't think pigmentation would affect how nose hairs or any other parts of the nose would work.

Do Albinos have a stronger or lesser sense of smell because of their white nose hairs?

The hairs have nothing to do with our sense of smell. They are there to help filter particles so that they do not make it down to our lungs. If you cleaned up a really dusty closet, you might find later that when you blow your nose, the resulting snot is darker because of that dust caught in your nose and not going down to your lungs.

Your sense of smell relies on a patch of tissue about the overall size of a postage stamp that has olfactory nerves directly exposed to the air we breathe. Particles land on these, triggering a nerve impulse that our brain interprets into a particular odor.

I sweat, and my hair curls like crazy?

Okay...ive been running everyday. and i sweat alot and i also straighten my hair. i woud like to wear it natural, but im half black and half white, and my hair is an afro if i dont straighten it. i onlyy straighten my hair about once a week, and then i wash my hair at the end of the week, and i dont straighten it anymore. it stays straight all week.,...but when i run, the hair curls back up!!!! and then when i get home..i have to straighten again, and then the next day again! andi dont like putting all that heat on my hair.

i already wear it in a pony, but the back of the hair hit my neck, making the ends curl up again, and i DEFINITLY dont wanna straighhten my ends everyday. and then i wore it in a bun, the ends still got curly, and so do the roots around my forehead. no matter what i do. then i tried wearing a hat and a bun with it....nothing works. a sweatband wont help cuz it will abosrbs the sweat, but it will be moist and it will be around my forhead. so please help.

I sweat, and my hair curls like crazy?

i go thru the SAME THING

so lemme give yu some advice on it cuz i got that same hair, been thru the 2+ hours tryna straighten MANY times but my advice is DONT FIGHT THE CURLS

yur hair sounds very nice and i understand that yu got track n all ( which yu DEFINATELY should not quit) but yu dont have to have it straight all the time. If you decide to have it curly, you dont even have to wash it everyday. Just make sure you condition it well in the shower and add a leave in conditioner when yu come out to the damp hair, and just let it air dry.

this is a good routine because when yu sweat the gel and mousse yu normally would have put in does not drip down and get yur fore head sticky, and yu can wash yur hair every other day (sometimes just wettting) and alternate wearing it up and down.

im goin curly and its workin JUST FINE fer me! :P

so good luck, n i hope yu find a good solution for yu.

I sweat, and my hair curls like crazy?

I dont think that there is much that you can do about this unless you stop running. Why not just cut it short and wear it curly?

I sweat, and my hair curls like crazy?

You really can't do anything. I have this problem although my hair is just wavy. I hated this, it's the reason why I stopped straightening my hair, its either that or my health. Then I got a straight perm and no more problems. Maybe you can look into that, although I'm not sure if it works the same on african-american hair.

I sweat, and my hair curls like crazy?

i have to straighten my hair too i have naturally wavy blond, white girl hair and i got to the gym 5 nights a week i dont like to wash it alot but i sweat a lot too and my hair gets frizzy also, there is not much you can do , just make sure you use a good serum or protector on your hair before you iron it or you will fry it. Good Luck!

I sweat, and my hair curls like crazy?

i have the same problem, only i am not biracial i am full black. in the winter time, and fall, i will go see my beautician and get a relaxer. which will straighten your hair for about 6 wks -10 wks. but in the summer time i let it be curly. be careful of putting too much heat on your hair, so i would not recommend you to straighten your hair everyday.

I sweat, and my hair curls like crazy?

when you run, your hair will probably get sweaty no matter what.

but another good thing to do could be to just take a shower after runbning and live with your hairs natural texture for a few days until you want to straighten it again. especially in the summer, since your not going to school, so your hair doesnt really need to look perfect all the time.

you should also visit a salon (ask for a stylist with similar hair to yours ) and get suggestions on how to style your hair when its curly

during the school year, you ahould get it permanently straightened, but not in the summer because to many straight perms will fry your hair, just like straightening it every day would

good luck!

I sweat, and my hair curls like crazy?

i suggest a bun on the top of your head and to carry a wash cloth.......i suggest you to grease you hair back so the fly-a-ways dont come down in ur face and get sweaty and curl up ....and alot of grease in back because your (kitchen)l0l mite come out a the bun or ponytail.....And get sweaty also.......Grease is......was resistant most of the time and it will repell the sweat....and in the other hand grease is hair's best friend.....so it will help you hair also

well good luck with the turn outs

I sweat, and my hair curls like crazy?

I don't have african american hair,I have thick red hair with the same problem. It is the heat and humidity from the sweat that kinks it and curls it. I hate summer for this reason..nothing helps. The only thing I can suggest is stay indoors and cool at all times but what kind of life is that? Accept who you are and what you look like..I have to take this advice also, nothing short of shaving your head will stop it from curling and if you are like me when you get hot your head is the first place you sweat. I know,we'll get together and invent something and maybe we can help not only each other but millions of others and become billionaires on the process!! Sound good? Wish I could help, that would mean I knew what to do myself.:-) Oh,Amorosa on You're Fired gets botox injected in her armpits to stop sweating so much...I havewondered what it would do to have injections around our forehead and the area around your hairline and maybe a few injections safely inside the center of your head..that I HAVE thought about but have not checked into. II don't even know if it's safe or possible. It sure would be great not to have a sweaty head!!

I sweat, and my hair curls like crazy?

While there is no way to prevent your sweating, there is a way to handle it. If you want to continue putting heat in your hair, there are ways to prevent the heat from danaging your hair. TCB has a line of hair products made for more ethnic hair and it protects the hair from heat and the tools you use ( curling iron, straightening irons, ect.). Now if you don't want to keep using heat in your hair, you can just weay your hair in more natural styles!! There are so many natural styles to wear with curly hair now a days!! It's in!! Embrace it!!! There is a site that has natural styles among others that might be of some help-http://www.blackhairmedia.com/hairstyles...

I sweat, and my hair curls like crazy?

Try a hat.

I sweat, and my hair curls like crazy?

Ask a professional hairdresser what to do. Try running in the evening.

Ok I have natural blonde hair, and my skin is not pale, but close, do guys not like that?

I am not pale but pretty white, with blonde hair do guys think that is not so pretty?

Ok I have natural blonde hair, and my skin is not pale, but close, do guys not like that?

You will look great get out in the sun some and don't worry about what guys think its what you think that matters you have to have a i look great atitude thats what guy likes it the confidence you have in yourself and the way you take care of yourself

Ok I have natural blonde hair, and my skin is not pale, but close, do guys not like that?

Look at this way, when the lights are out, does it matter?

Ok I have natural blonde hair, and my skin is not pale, but close, do guys not like that?

No, that's the MOST liked combination.

Ok I have natural blonde hair, and my skin is not pale, but close, do guys not like that?

yes we think its hot babe.....!!!!!!!!!ssssss

Ok I have natural blonde hair, and my skin is not pale, but close, do guys not like that?

Guys like pretty much every girl......no offense. I think you're fine. Especially when it comes to sex, they will go after a girl that looks like a gorilla if she's easy. Not all guys are that way, but more than a few are.

Ok I have natural blonde hair, and my skin is not pale, but close, do guys not like that?

I find it pretty. Blonde girls are actually very sexy.

Ok I have natural blonde hair, and my skin is not pale, but close, do guys not like that?

Who cares? That's so shallow. Grow up. Be yourself. Guys like self-confidence. Love yourself.

Ok I have natural blonde hair, and my skin is not pale, but close, do guys not like that?

Do the curtains match the rug?

Ok I have natural blonde hair, and my skin is not pale, but close, do guys not like that?

You shouldn't JUST be thinking about your looks if you want guys to like you. It's about personality too. And to answer your questions, all guys are different. But really, stop being so self-conscious about your looks and more on personality and attitude. Guys don't like girls who care about how they loook too much

Ok I have natural blonde hair, and my skin is not pale, but close, do guys not like that?

What would make you say that? Guys love blondes and they seldom are picky enough to think about subtle shades of skin tone.

Peace!

Ok I have natural blonde hair, and my skin is not pale, but close, do guys not like that?

Well they like it a lot more than coal black hair and liquid-paper white skin, I'll tell you that much! LOL.

I want my hair to look like this...i need help!?

http://i3.tinypic.com/4gorn03.jpg

I already have naturally curly hair (i am a mixed race girl-african american, indian and white. but my curly hair tends to look frizzy, poofy and have less curls in some areas.)

This girl's hair is perfect. Her hair is all nice in curly and long and its shiny too. I want my hair to look like this.

Anyone have any ideas or tips on what products I should use and what steps I should do?

I want my hair to look like this...i need help!?

Infusium.

I want my hair to look like this...i need help!?

Try hair serums. You can get ones that add shine and reduce frizziness. You could also buy a curl perfecting product.

Oh, and don't brush your hair. Use a wide toothed comb if necessary. Brushing will just make it frizzier.

I want my hair to look like this...i need help!?

There are lines of products that are for keeping your hair curly. Pantene Pro V has a line for defining your curls called hydrating curls and Garnier Fructis has one called Curl and Shine.

I want my hair to look like this...i need help!?

Bring a copy of the picture to your regular salon where you usually get your hair done, show the picture to your hairdresser and as she does the hairdo for you, ask her how you can maintain the style by yourself step by step.

I want my hair to look like this...i need help!?

Hey. That is a great hair style you have chosen. With gel or mousse on your hands, scrunch up your curls and they should look like the picture. As for shine, the gel and mousse may do this minimally but change your shampoo to a shine one

I want my hair to look like this...i need help!?

I have curly hair as well. It's taken me over 20 years to grow to love it and to learn how to style it. Like a person above suggested, buy the Garnier Fructis Curl and Shine shampoo. It works great. Also as suggested above, use a wide-toothed comb when doing your hair. Try using a diffuser (or an attachment) instead of a hair dryer by itself. That will make the hair frizzy. I don't like the hair serums since they tend to be sticky and make my hair look like I used too much gel. Another product to try would be Springing Curls (I think) by L'Oreal. It works great on keeping my curls seperated and not frizzy. Hope this helps.

I want my hair to look like this...i need help!?

use a serum but if you don't like the oily feeling(I don't) use mouse and hairspray, that seems to be the only thing working for me so far but the only downfall is the "crispy" feeling. It's whatever works for you.

I want my hair to look like this...i need help!?

My hair is like the girls in the picture..I use Garnier Fructis Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner....Sleek %26amp; Shine......I use a wide toothed Detangling comb in the shower....after rinsing the conditioner out...I make sure I just dab my hair to get the exess water off...afterwards, while hair is still wet....I put in Garnier Fructis Leave in Conditioner...which leaves my hair soft.....then I put in a frizz control.....which I use something like Soft Curls...from Garnier Fructis......

I THEN take a pure cotton T-shirt %26amp; roll my hair into it...kind of like a turban...this squeezes out the water, without OVER drying the hair...I leave it on for about 15-20 min's.....make sure it is pure cotton...poly/cotton blends will actually take the natural oils from your hair, leaving it dry %26amp; frizzy...also using silk pillowcases will help keep hair from getting frizzy too....

After taking Turban off..allow hair to airdry the rest of the way...dont brush or comb your hair after, allow hair to take its natural curl...you can also twist hair around finger to get more difined curls..

These are things I do to my hair...my hair goes to my butt...%26amp; is naturally curly...these are some tricks I have learned through the yrs. %26amp; I get lots of compliments about my hair...

Good Luck...

Truly sad. Were they white security or other races? You should complain about this to the human rights commission in your area, or rather the area and state where it happened. They want to hear about stuff like this.

Also, you should contact the ACLU. The love stuff like this.

The white person went before me?

ppl are racist, they mightve thought u were planning

something in another language...

dont worry,not everyones like that

The white person went before me?

i dont no maybe its something to get use to

The white person went before me?

get used to it,, after 911, everyone should be suspected. Including whites....look at timothy Mc Vey, home grown terrorist.

The white person went before me?

What color were the security team? This might be very telling.

The white person went before me?

I find as soon as Columbia is mentioned .. they start jumping to conclusions. It's profiling.

The white person went before me?

Ignorance is everywhere get use to it, but allow it to get you down.

The white person went before me?

yes pretty much

The white person went before me?

Why are you so quick to see things like that? There are many things on a list that they look for when making a decision to search. It has happened to me a couple of times when my bf walked right through. Don't be so quick to assume, it does the heart damage, not to mention your state of mind.

The white person went before me?

wow..people are so ignorant..pay them no mind..you should of cussed them out en espanol..

How do you deal with a mix of curly/wavy hair?

My hair is a total pain! I'm white, with reddish brown hair. The very top layer is slightly wavy, but the layers underneath are curly to varying degrees. At the back of my head, the hair has lots of 'ridges' in in, but around the side it tends to fall more in spirals. The texture also varies - quite dry and fuzzy (not frizzy) underneath, but soft and silky on the almost straight layer on the top. It looks like a totally unkempt mess, regardless of how much time I spend on it, and putting it in a ponytail is even worse. No hairdresser seems to have a clue what to do with it. I would love to have EITHER wavy hair OR curly hair. Does anyone have any tips? Is a perm a good idea to even out the curl? Thanks!

How do you deal with a mix of curly/wavy hair?

headbands! they do wonders...

also try some cute clips and clip a section of your hair back.. I went through a change of hair my freshman year of highschool and I had no idea what to do with my new curly hair!

How do you deal with a mix of curly/wavy hair?

I have the exact same problem. I use a hair straightener.

How do you deal with a mix of curly/wavy hair?

I have the exact same type of hair. If you use a little mouse and then use a diffuser it will usually give those straighter hairs a little boost. There are some really inexpensive products out there for both and they are surprisingly gentle on your hair.

How do you deal with a mix of curly/wavy hair?

Don't perm your hair, m'dear.

It won't do it any good, it'll only probably make it worse.

Get a few cute clips,

click the top half of your hair back

other times, just get a cute head band

put that on and put your hair up at the back

or put on pigtails.

It's what I do.

When you have a good hair day

show it off!

and leave it down.

ahah C=

How do you deal with a mix of curly/wavy hair?

try a straighthener or if that doesn't work go for a perm ! good luck !

How do you deal with a mix of curly/wavy hair?

my hair is the same way, frizz-ez is great.

How do you deal with a mix of curly/wavy hair?

My friend has similar hair she uses her flat iron (hair straightener) It looks great but its a lot of work. When she wants it curly she flat irons it and then uses large rollers for uniform wave.

How do you deal with a mix of curly/wavy hair?

I know you said you'd love to have either one or the other, but sometimes when u have a mixture this isn't possible. Have you tried blow drying straight and using ghd's on it to seal it? You never know, straight hair may suit you the best in the end. Hope this helps.

How do you deal with a mix of curly/wavy hair?

Three words: CUT IT OFF

How do you deal with a mix of curly/wavy hair?

Wash it with shampoo AND CONDITIONER for shiny hair and where it out. it will look like it was on purpose.

How do you deal with a mix of curly/wavy hair?

I think that be racist won't solve your problem, although I have a solution! I do also have curly hair, and you should be proud of it because it is rare unlike straight hair. A perm would also even out the curls, I think it would look great! Go for it, it's your life!

How do you deal with a mix of curly/wavy hair?

well i also have wavy hair its puffy to i have alot so if you want calm it down just use water and some kind of hair grease oh yeah and a brush hope that helps

Fair Skin With Blonde Hair?

My parents told me I have fair skin. I have brown eyes. and reallu nice white teeth. ? My hair is like blonde ((it was reallllllly blonde as a little kid) and not its like a weird blonde. I have the dye and stuff but should I get the blonde not so weird looking and dye it?

Also where can i buy tem. non-natural color highlights? Like Ulta? Ergh what stores? I'm getting real Blue highlights and maybe orange.

I know the colors are crazy but HEY BABY ITS SUMMER =]

Fair Skin With Blonde Hair?

I say don't worry about the blonde. If summer is coming then your hair will probably get sun-lightened to a prettier blonde anyway.

Semi permanent hair colors don't lighten hair so you would have to get it permanent if you really wanted it light... Go for the blue and orange streaks and the blonde won't even be as noticed.

Fair Skin With Blonde Hair?

try going to clairol.com and test out how you would look with that different shade of your hair....i tried it too cuz im a blonde and i wanted to be brunette and i wanted to see how it would look so i tried that site....

but if you ask me...i say go for it...!!! im all about trying differnt colors!! im planing on having pink highlights this winter!! so the blue sounds rockin!

Fair Skin With Blonde Hair?

Don't even worry about the blonde.

I'm REALLY blonde and so pale I could get lost in the snow :] and it looks fine.

As for the highlights:

just go to spencers or hot topic and get manic panic.

It works like a charm :]

I have way curly hair and i'm looking for a product to calm it down?

i thought i asked this question before but i don't think it went thru...if i leave my hat on my hair is straight wavy. my gf say to put 'product' in it it will stay under control...basically i'm looking for a 'product' that will keep a borderline afro under control. i am totally white and have blonde hair so i am looking for something low price that will keep my head in CHECK, so if you have recomendations please give'm to me.

I have way curly hair and i'm looking for a product to calm it down?

I have way curly hair also, when I want to straighten it, I use a straightener gel product made by John Freida, its called frizz ease relaxer or something like that...

I have way curly hair and i'm looking for a product to calm it down?

A little bit of baby oil and use brush and blow dryer and blow it out.

I have way curly hair and i'm looking for a product to calm it down?

Try a mile perm it will make it straight, some like cream of nature Perm.

I have way curly hair and i'm looking for a product to calm it down?

Sunsilk Purple! For unwanted waves or kinks! (it's a shampoo that cost $3)

It works so well! My hair was a frizzball, but now is pretty striaght!

I have way curly hair and i'm looking for a product to calm it down?

Try "L.A. Looks" or "Aussie". Why not try "Prell" shampoo, for oily hair, as well.

I have way curly hair and i'm looking for a product to calm it down?

The Hair Boutique's favorite curly hair expert has a great new product that is perfect for summer months when heat and humidify wreaks havoc with curly hair. This product is Ouidad's Climate Control.

I have way curly hair and i'm looking for a product to calm it down?

Have you tried applying gel if not try some hair straightening lotion. That should work and is inexpensive.

I have way curly hair and i'm looking for a product to calm it down?

Hair wax!

I have way curly hair and i'm looking for a product to calm it down?

Low Maintenance way: Chemical Straightener... it sounds scary, but its not, I promise. And, it's simple.

I'm also blonde, white, with uber curly locks so don't be afraid.

You can pick some up at your local wal-mart; it's near the boxed perms. They aren't that effective, so just leave it on for a little less than the prescribed time and it won't completely straighten your hair, just calm it.

Just follow the directions and you won't have to worry about putting styling product in every day.

What Can I Do With Curly Thick Hair?

I am mixed with black and white and my hair is thick and curly. I love my hair and I need a good product that will help me with damage, frizz, and dryness.

What Can I Do With Curly Thick Hair?

I have thick, curly hair as well, most of the time I straighten it. A good product for this is Kerastase the orange conditioner. It's a bit pricey, but worth the money. At salons it's more expensive, but you can find it online for a bit cheaper, like about $24.00 for a tube of conditioner.

Orange colored tube, they have cream, serum and the whole treatment line. shampoo, conditioner, treatment, serums, masks, etc...

What Can I Do With Curly Thick Hair?

I have not found a good anti frizz yet, I think they are non existant

What Can I Do With Curly Thick Hair?

just take the halle berry's short hair style

What Can I Do With Curly Thick Hair?

You need a great hydrating shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair. Dont shampoo your hair everyday, try every other day. John Frieda has a good line of frizz ease products.

If price isnt a huge issue, I recently bought catwalk shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair. I have very curly hair thats damaged and its made my hair unbelievably soft.

From what I have heard, they have great products for curly hair.

What Can I Do With Curly Thick Hair?

Count ur blessings and get some John Freida hair products.

What Can I Do With Curly Thick Hair?

wear a hat

What Can I Do With Curly Thick Hair?

V05 Silky Smooth Serum, or Patene Frizz Free Leave in conditioner. I tell you this from expirience, i have long, most of the time awesome curly hair, but thats thanks to those products. Wax also helps keep in place...

What Can I Do With Curly Thick Hair?

If it helps and you want a change u can use a straightening iron to straighten your hair or you should braid for a while, and if you don't like any of those by all means you should flaunt your curly locks!

What Can I Do With Curly Thick Hair?

Try John Frieda or any other salon brand. I would spend the money on salon products to keep my hair frizz free. Other products you can try are Bumble and bumble, Fekkai, Paul Mitchell, etc. These are pretty good brands so see which one is best for you.

What Can I Do With Curly Thick Hair?

i have the same problem. deep condition it whenever possible or make your own hair masques. i like this one

Put together in a medium bowl and squish together with your hands until it's a minty green color. Smooth into hair all the way to the tips. Put on a shower cap or wrap your head with saran wrap.

1 small jar of real mayonnaise

1/2 of an avocado

Leave on for 20 minutes. For deeper conditioning put a hot, damp towel around your head -over the saran wrap. And if you have really long hair and only need deep conditioning at the ends, cut the ingredients in half and apply only to the ends and just wrap them.

White spots spreading?

A couple of years ago I started getting these white spots on my moles on my back. I went to the doctor and he gave me this cream. I used it for a while and stopped. Now around my genital area I have been getting white spots that spread and my pubic hair is white. It also started bleeding once.

Any suggestions on what it is (vitiligo)?

White spots spreading?

Maybe a type of ringworm. My little sister had that. I'll ask my mom and update this answer tomorrow.

How to bleach hair from light brown to platinum blonde?

I have short hair, a men's cut. I want to bleach/dye my (medium brown) hair to a white or platinum blonde. If I go to a salon, can I achieve this in one shot, or do I need to bleach it a few times to get it light enough? Also, do I need to use toner when I get close to the color I want? How do I avoid getting the rusty orange or grey color that I've heard some people get?

How to bleach hair from light brown to platinum blonde?

If you go into a salon you can get it that light. It will have to be toned if your hair is as dark as you say it is. We have amazing bleaches and colors that can get you too a platium color.

How to bleach hair from light brown to platinum blonde?

you can mix bleach with blonde hair die t get a bleach blonde color.

Just be careful that you don't use too much bleach because then your hair will fall out

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

I don't understand at all. I've been rocking natural hair since the fall of 06 and I had cut all of my relaxer and an started over. My hair is some much more healthier now..It's natural and I feel free....I've been getting a lot of hateration from mostly black people about my hair, they say things like "you need to get a perm" they call my hair "nappy" and they talk bad about it all the time at school.....What's so great abotu straight hair???Why is it so special??? It think Black women look 10x better with natrual hair...It's disgusts me that even the Black women in hollywood don't wear their stuff natural, they all look just like the white actresses. I refuse to straigthen my hair ever again. I'm cured of all my self-loathing. I love being natrual....I feel more Afro-Caribbean now....It's funny though, more white people dig my hair, they think it's nice.....

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

You have no idea how much I agree. I know my avatar has long hair but thats just cuz I have micros right now that I never should have had put in in the first place. Im missing my natural. I cut my hair off summer of 2007 and it grew so fast, thick and healthy. My mom had my hair relaxed when I was 6 so its sad because I never experienced my real hair or at least remembered it. And now I love it. The texture is so soft with like O curls in some spots.

I did the big chop because through out my life I'd been going to African American schools where every little girl had a relaxer and the ones who didn't were teased to no end until they begged their mamas to let them get one. Late 2006, I went to college and I started seeing how other nationalities wore their natural hair or atleast didnt go to such a length as to harmfully chemically modify it. I was embarrassed. I started looking at local girls with natural hair and thought it was beautiful. So I finally cut mine (And now Ive inspired my roommate to do so also just by wearing it! lol!

So many people have mistaken me for a revolutionary. It makes me sad because so many girls are stuck on conforming and too afraid to try out their natural hair that anyone who does HAS to be mistaken for a rebellion leader or something. Some of my friends laughed. Said I looked like something out of the 70s. My boyfriend said he thought people with afros were "lazy". Hes mexican. People are so ignorant about our hair, but the worst part is so are we. He's my ex now and even now he says I looked better with my "white girl hair".

And its not just hair. Its glorification of light skinned girls too. Im light skinned and I LOVE my color. I think its gorgeous. BUT I think dark skin is beautiful too. I wanted to be darker when I was younger because my mother was so gong ho for loving darker skinned girls. She STILL wants to be darker. But I disagree with her just because sometimes in supporting those of your race, you lose sight of whats beautiful about you. I think she has but I know now being "yellow" is just as beautiful as being chocolate. Well, Im rambling now but I agree with you 99 percent. And stop with the dye too. HOnestly, blonde does not look good on us.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

I would think anything natural has to be good! I'm white and I like the natural look. To many people get hung up on the stupidest things. Not's let the haters get to you hun.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

Because Hollywood says Caucasian hair is the best.

But if people want to dye their hair, relax their hair, perm their hair, wear wigs, wear weaves and so on, who are we to stop them. If it makes them happy, let them do it. There's a shortage of happiness in the world.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

Ignore those stupid a** girls at school. If anything you should be laughing at them because they're the ones that are afraid of being themselves (which is black) and you are so right about black men being hypocrites when it comes to how they like black women's hair to be. They sit around and talk about how much they don't like weave and how they only like "natural" hair. But when you wear it natural they want to trip and call it unnatractive.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

I think its beautiful that you've chosen to wear your hair in its natural state. I agree, black women do look better with their natural hair, rather than having that super flat hair. I admire you for this and I wish I had the same kind of confidence as you do.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

Hey, I don't speak for all black men, but I love sistas with natural hair, especially afros and dreads. It gives ya'll that socially conscious an black and proud look of the 70閳ユ獨. They haters just hate cause they don't have the guts to do it.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

I don't know why so many black women feel the need to straighten their hair. I think that's because that is what the sutle pop culture messages are sending them. Straght hair and white skin are good. I love natural hair. I hate the fake, generic straight white girl hair.

I'm a quarter black and a little over half white, with some dashes of Native American (Choctaw) and everything else. It's a grab bag with me. I guess I have a little jungle fever. :)

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

Its all a matter of preference and how much time you can commit to your hair. I have natural hair right now only b/c I am waiting for my layers to grow out then get a relaxer. But I see absolutely nothing wrong with natural hair.

I know what you are talking aobut. When I did wear a relaxer and went a long time between relaxers I would get comments about needing one.

I have also heard alot of women that wear natural hair say that they get alot of compliments from non-blacks more specifically white than they do from their own people. Its really sad.

Even though MOST black actresses have relaxers thare are a handful that do have natural hair jill scott comes to mind and I believe heather headly.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

I aplaud you for wearing your hair natural. Black people have SO MUCH HATE FOR THEMSELVES. Its so sad.White people wanted black people to hate themselves. "divide and conquer" and the foolish black people are playing into that trap because it's a cycle perpetuaded through the media and society in general.

Yes stars like Beyonce, Mary J Ciara and Tyra who wear weaves/extensions and ugly blonde crap in their hair do not help. (there isnt anything wrong with blonde hair just not on all black people per se.) Black women that hate themselves do and will say that your kind of hair is ugly, hard, nappy and unkempt. I say its beautiful. Perms will and do make you hair straight but they also break your hair off, burn it and leave you bald eventually. Plus you can't color it.

Black people have gorgeous hair. It can be curly/wavey one day and flat ironed straight the next. You can have natural hair that is soft and easily managed if you know how to do you hair. Most black women dont so they take the easy way out and perm it. To all you white people that is why so many black women have short hair or wear weaves/wig. They over process the hair and then it gets bald.

I find it truly sad that however when you say white people like your hair when there was a time when they didnt like the whole afro thing hence the jehri curl products to unkink the hair, but i guess thats how it goes with everything dealing with black people. They hate it first then like it. Dont ever perm you hair, its fine just the way it is. Their just jealous because you hair is longer and you didnt need a perm to get it that way ^_^

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

I have no problem w/ natural hair. I am Afro-Caribbean as well (Trinidad) but I do have a relaxer in my hair. It is not because I am "submitting to European ideals of beauty", I prefer it for myself and do have relatives with natural hair. If anything, I support it because not everyone can wear their hair natural and be fabulous! I know I couldn't!

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

While people are entitled to their preferences, they should not be projecting their europhilia(like that word?) onto you. I appreciate natural hair myself. I find African hairstyles beautiful. I grew up in the 70's when big fro's were what we all wanted, I remember going to parties and concerts and watch a sea of fro's bouncing to the beat in the black light. Natural is healthier, Im not going to go to the self hate issues, while I believe many AA women AND MEN have been brainwashed to think long and straight are more beautiful, I dont necessarily think these women are denying their Blackness.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

It all falls under HATIN..... Babygirl if u love it then do u. forget what they think. We as a race are our own worse enemy. You keep on rock the natural look . Do what makes you feel good and better about yourself

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

Long hair, light skinned women are still proud black women. I do not have a problem with natural hair, I think black hair in it's natural state is beautiful.

I think everyone should be proud of their heritage, but you showed no love for light skinned black women in your additional comments. I am a light skinned sista with long hair, and NOT chemically straightened. That makes me no less proud or less black sista.

You are a proud sista, proud of your heritage, but remember that we do all come in all shades. Some of us have curly hair, straight hair, wavy hair and kinky hair.

Now I must say this, although I do not straighten my hair, I have nothing but love for ALL sistas. Because a woman chooses to wear their hair in a style different than natural it does not mean that they have lost who and what they are. They could still love the skin that they were born in, but had a different choice.

Something as small as a hairstyle should not make the decision of who and what someone is or chooses to be. We are stronger united than tearing one another down. We have to stop this.

A sista is a sista no matter if she has a weave or ball headed. We need to give each other the respect as such and stop tearing each other down for small things like this.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

you know whats funny. wm seem to like when i wear my hair natural vs wearing it straight or in a weave. black men yeah, some of them are like that, dont know why, though.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

When you say it disgust you that black women in hollywood don't wear natural hair, you are just as judgemental as you claim others to be about you. I tried the natural thing, and it didn't work for me. I might try again later on when I can find out more about how to care for my hair in its natural form. I think its great you wear your hair natural, but don't come down on others because you don't agree with they way they wear their hair.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

You can hold 400 + years of racism (white supremacy) responsible, Varying degrees of racial prejudice / discrimination supported and practiced institutionally in every kind of society strengthens oppression and thus perpetuates the condition that has resulted into rejecting your own self.

Black people are still predominately victims of racism (White supremacy) and are still reminded in every society that their black, whether they apply for a Job, whether they are in education, at the mall or at the sidewalk or even in the household, most have now become uncomfortable, embarrassed and anxious of high amounts of racial prejudice / discrimination because of their "bad hair" etc image.

Majority (Maybe all) of blacks go through an identity crisis, then they feel the need to use chemicals, products or perm their hair to be in the world that they are constantly reminded that they're not Caucasian. The society that constantly tells them that the blackness (African) image is unacceptable, a curse, sub-human and whiteness (European) is acceptable, normal, human.

Please don't feel disgusted, upset and try not to hate those blacks that have submitted to the system, the reality of racism (white supremacy) because it still exists and the burden that blacks have to hold in this world is heavy, especially with all the institutionalized racism (White supremacy) this society throws at them continuously.

I say continue rocking your natural self, Only if you are capable, if you feel comfortable enough in it, stay strong and don't de-value yourself because others don't see your worth.

I take my hat of to you.

Peace.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

I like natural hair, but I don't really mind wearing my hair straight, either. What I don't like is what you pointed out--black woman dying their hair european colors like blonde and red and other colors like that.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

having straight hair is what's seen as pretty, and black girls (myself included), don't realize this, but that's the whole reason they do it. to be seen as nice looking.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

Well, it's so good to see women/girls who finally realise the truth: natural is unbeatable ! A LOT of women don't think that God has made a better job with them ,than cosmetics ever will, if u know what I mean! So, this is more of an aswer/message to all of the women on this planet: a "natural" woman will always be a winner, because naturality rules-it's as simple as that (trust me, this is what all normal men think, all over the world!-besides,it's been proved by many scientific experiments )

Be advised, cosmetic corporations ,and not only them, will always try to trick you into buying their products, they will always try to make u feel less beautiful in order to make u feel that u need their ever unsuccesful products !!!

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

I agree mostly with everything you said %26amp; I 100% love natural hair on black women!!!!!!!!!!!!

And there are MORE black men who do. You just have to be at the right places. Try going to places where they play more Erykah Badu (whose cd comes out Tues.!), Jill Scott, %26amp; Lauryn Hill, D'angelo than the usual suspects. Cafes, poetry spots etc. if you're too young for clubs.

Above all be strong. We need more examples of young black women who love their natural hair.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

It's all of what you feel is attractive.

Plus to educate your mind a little the white actresses do not wear their own hair either. Almost everyone in hollywood wears extensions or weaves.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

Just do you own thing and don't concern yourself with what others are thinking-remember ignorance to some is sheer bliss!

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

Just like how every other race can change their hairstyle/texture than so can black people. If they want it straight, curly, wavy ..... why not?

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

Congratulations for your natural hair! It is indeed beautiful. My aunt rocks the dreads and so does her daughter. Me, I have been natural wearing an afro puff or braids and I have been straight like now. It is sad that we don't have enough media and mainstream representation of natural black hair and sadder still that many of our brothers are hypocrites when it comes to black women's hair. IMHO what they're saying when they put down girls with weaves is that they don't want a black woman. They want the women who have naturally straight hair. But the brother who said you have to find the right crew that will accept you, is on the money.

BLACK PEOPLE: What is you're problem with natural hair????

They do that because white women's hair is perfect %26amp; they want there hair like ours.So they want to get a weave or get it straight which is fake. There trying to be something that they aren't.Which is just really sad,be proud of what you are. I'm going to post a question like this, because there is still a part of it I would like to know.
