Can you perm your hair before you put extensions in it?

Okay I have mixed hair (black and white) so my hair is naturally wavy (kinda curly sometimes too) and it is hard to keep it straight especially when it gets wet or when it is humid. So I want to know if I want to get straight hair extensions can I perm it down straight so my real hair won't stick out of the extensions? If I can't what is the best way to keep my hair straight until I want to take the extensions out? And what is the best way to get it put in so it won't break my hair: Glued or sown in?? Alot of questions I know but I need help, I want my extensions looking as real as possible

Thanks :)

you shouldnt do that. your hair is weakest right after a perm/relaxer. the chemicals weaken the hair, and when you put added stress on ot from the extessions, it can cause the hair to break off or fall out. one of my freinds expreienced this. i would say wait a week or so before you get the extressions after the perm. glue and sew ins are equally damaging. both pull your hair out. but i think a sew in is less bad for your hair. maybe you should ask your stylist what is best since she can see your hair, and knows what she is doing. best wishes.

I would talk to your stylist. It's easier to determine what you need when you can actually see your hair.

Unless your hair is super super super curly like bouncy little curls almost like curly sue I would not get it chemically permed..You really don't need it and will damage your hair.

I would go on line and get a straightener that has ceramic plates

just search "Ceramic hair straighteners" in google

This way you can still get extensions and straighten your hair so it looks natural.

Good Luck
