It is at times hard for me, my mom is black and my dad that a*s is white. my mother was apart of the new black panthers and my father raped her when she was 17. she had me even throw some people said she shouldn't.

i look just like my father all white. i have blond hair and blue eyes, but i don't tell people that i have a white father. i went to a all black school and people there used to think i was white i would tell them i am black, and they would be like you have white in you? i would say no, and people would think i had to have some but i just didn't know it.

i really didn't even know i had a white father until i heard my mom and her sister talking about it. i have always had a father in my life, my mom got married to my dad (really step dad but i call him dad) when i was almost a year. so i always thought he was my dad. he is the same color as me, and had the same eyes and hair. but he is all black. and all my little brothers and sisters look like me.

You should refer to yourself in whatever manner that makes you feel comfortable. But don't deny who you are simply because people are unaccepting. Try not to place so much importance on race. Remember that you are a human being regardless of race. But, as I said, refer to yourself in whatever manner that makes you feel comfortable. If referring to yourself as black is what makes you happy then go for it. If referring to yourself as white is what makes you happy then do that. If you wish to refer to yourself as BOTH then so be it. Do whatever you want to do regardless of what others think or say.

u should be proud of your color and your genetic, you have two races in yourself, black and white you should be yourself and to say I am mixed I represent two peoples, dont worry what the other people think about that

Well, I would say I was white, because thats what colour my skin was. Though, you are both so why not consider yourself both?

Does it really matter what skin colour you are? Its a colour. Why be tied down to one set race?

Be greatful that you can reap the bennifits of both cultures.

How about you go to school and study. Then you will learn that the European Hamites started to invade Africa over 5000 years ago and the very people you refer to as black are most likely part white anyways. Not to mention all the mixing since the days of the slave trade. You have to be what you are and that is mixed, so be it. And if you want to be black so bad, then how come your avatar looks white?

It sounds like you're surrounded by people of color who are proud of it. If you feel more black than white, nothing's wrong with saying your black. Look within yourself and if you see yourself as a black woman with blue eyes and light hair, then that's what you are and the fact that you're proud of that makes you a beautiful person inside and out.

I've seen plenty of really light skinned , colored eyed black women. Usually the black genes are more dominant but which do you identify more with? I must admit since you have a black mother that you are black but you have a white dad also.

Whichever one you identify with the most....that's how you decide...but you are mixed with both.

Dear,you can be anything you want.It only matters what makes you comfortable with yourself. You are so lucky to have had a wonderful Mother that has been truthful and honest and to have a stepfather who is like a dad to you. I hope you will be able to feel comfortable in this life with what genetics you have and tell your Mother everyday you love her for giving you life and tell your step dad too .it takes more than blood to be a Dad.

I'm sorry but I found this question a bit confusing.Are you white skinned with a black skinned mother?.I imagine you would look like a white version of your mother.You would have her features,beautiful but ,with white skin.If I were you I would just say I am as I look.Good luck in your life anyway.
