my daughter is 9 years old she is mixed bl-white her hair is long and very dry she wants to straight iron it but when it is down it puffs out and real dull and dry please help.

I have very thick, coarse, and dry hair, and I have to seal and protect it like crazy to straighten it out. Try a leave-in type conditioner or some Frizz-Ease serum (this is applied in the shower). You need to put a heat protectant on the hair before you blow/iron it out. These come in sprays, and also in ointments (like VO5). When hair is sufficiently protected, then blow dry or hot iron. Make sure that she is using a hot iron meant for her type of hair.....I use professional tools that get hotter than drugstore types--that way, you don't have to go over and over the same section of hair. Finish with a conditioning or shine spray. I wouldn't do this more than once a week...for me, a good blowout lasts 3 days, and then the rest of the week, I let my hair have a break.

i think you should try using a different shampoo so it is not so dry. see if you can find a conditioner that leaves her hair silky. if you layer her hair with long layers, it might look better. but defentially look into getting new shampoos and conditioners. i hope this helps.

Make sure you are using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. There are some hair masques that will help condition the hair. I used the V05 conditioning treatment after i stripped my hair and it worked soo well. Try using paul mitchell super skinny serum on her wet hair and blowdry it in small sections with a round brush until smooth. After that it should be easier to smooth the hair out with the iron. You may also need an iron that gets hotter than some other cheaper irons. You can find them at a beauty supply store like sallys. Hope this helps and good luck

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.
