yes it would look extremely good, and it wouldnt be over the top so i think it is perfect idea, especially if you have never colored your hair before.

Color-wise, it would look okay. However, I think it's way overdone lately. Everyone with brunette hair has blondeish highlights like that. You know what I think looks so pretty and warm and makes your complexion look it's glowing? Something like this on top of your natural hair color...
