Curlers or scrunching on relaxed hair????

Okay im 13 and i'm thinking about scrunching my hair but someone told me curlers work the best. Is this true and what type of curlers? Oh yeah im half black/ white with relaxed hair (that means it's straight). If curlers aren't the best what type of scrunching products do i use and how do i do this? Do i use a defuser? THANX A BUNCH!!!!!

If your hair is chemically relaxed, it will not have the support it needs to scrunch it and have it stay. Your best bet would be to use rollers. Larger ones would give you a wavier look smaller ones would give you more of a curl. You can use Velcro rollers, hot rollers, or just your regular granny plastic ones with clips. You will also want to use a gel or styling product that will help set and hold the shape. Hope this helped.

curlers are pretty good and the curls last longer

Scrunching and using a diffuser gives you a more natural looking curl, but really only works well if you have naturally curly hair to begin with...and you said yours is straight, so I would not go with that option. Hot rollers work best with people who have straight hair. You can buy a good set (I recommend Conair) at Meijer or Walmart for about $25. You just let them heat up and then roll your hair on them and pin them..wait about 15 minutes and take them out and you're done. You can hairspray to make the curls stay longer. Hope this helps! Good luck :)

Scrunching without any natural curl won't work. I have straight hair myself and I've tried it. It just makes a matted mess. Try curlers and then scrunching it a little bit afterwords. Make sure you pick apart the curls before you scrunch it though. It will make it look fuller.
