Hair Disaster!!!?

So, about a month ago I dyed my hair a dark red. It started to fade quickly and about 2 weeks later I re-colored with a lighter red which actually gave me some pink undertones (which I hated). Three days ago I colored again with "Born Blonde" (bleach). My hair is now white at the roots, then yellow in the middle, and the ends are pink. Help, how can I correct this? I'd like to do it myself to cut costs, and any color will do, just something more natural looking.

Hair Disaster!!!?

Last time I messed up on coloring my hair, I called the number on the box. They have a colorist that gives you tips for free over the phone.Ths best tip is to never go more than three shades from your natural color without a professional.Good luck and God bless.

i did the same thing myself actually, it took a color remover,

and two times of dying my hair to get it to look right if you want blonde go with a lighter shade try to do the middle and ends of your hair not so much on the roots or you could just go darker if you want but becareful you have to wait a while in between dyeing's

Hair Disaster!!!?

If u keep dying it yur gunna KILL it! Leave it alone for a while and die it a color u know will work a week or so later.

When coloring your hair at home you have to understand the structure and basis of color.

Depending on what color you are going for, and what your natural or pre dye color is.

If you are trying to get the red out of your hair, you always go for an ash(green based) tone. If you want to keep warm tones in your hair(red based) you go for golden, warm sunny.

Since you put that Born Blonde on your hair it bleached out the red dye, thus giving you a pink look. I would get some OOP's color corrector from Clairol. Follow the directions.

You could always call a cosomtology school and let them teach on you for color correction, lots of time they will not charge you anything.

Good luck.

Dye your hair a more natural colour, maybe black or dark brown? deep condition your hair too, makes it in more better condition.
