Just dyed hair?

i just dyed my hair a whiter shade of blonde and where i had darker foils it has gone a bit of an orange.. what can i do to tone it down a little is it tru that i can mix bicarb powder with shampoo? what else can i do to tone my hair down a little

The color you put on most likely had a 20 volume developer with it...or 2 levels of lift. Two levels of lift was great on the blondest hair but, unfortunately, two levels of lift was not enough lift for the darker sections...leaving it brassy or orange. Purple is opposite orange on the color wheel so any violet based color will counteract the orange or gold thats left in the hair. But, herein lies the problem. How are you going to put an ash (violet) based color on the brassy sections without getting it on the lighter sections? If you slap an ash color all over your head it will fix the brassy parts but the blonder hair will become very drab (smoky) or purple looking. Isn't at home coloring fun? You might want to consult with a professional.

Get a sun bleach on it................it takes away the orange.

Buy a toner, or get one done at a salon. And PPS Blonde As shampoo and conditioner.

Please go to a professional stylist to have them fix it. I dyed my hair at home once and I made things worse by trying to fix it at home too. If you do not want to pay the big bucks, you could always go to a hair academy and have the stylists in training dye it for a cheaper price.

If it is a tint of orange you need to tone it with green/Ash. Go get a rince or you can use an even lighter ash blonde semi permanent colour.

I have had the same problem if you have a sallys beauty supply near you go there and ask them what they have. I use this stuff that took out the gold and brassy shades out and then they have stuff you can wash every day to help. you could get this stuff its purple i forgot what its called but it helps tone it down. just ask and they will be glad to help. you can also call a sylist and they can tell you what to get

Soak it in lemon juice and go sit in the sun.

shimmering lights will take care of the orange. wash your hair w/it and let it sit for a while and you will see results. only what is really blonde will turn gray. so be careful where you wash. if it turns to purple or gray just add baking soda to your reg shampoo and wash it again, that will take care of the purple look.
