Something in my hair?

Lately, I've been getting these " sticky sand-like" particles out of my hair. It's been happening for like 3 years. It's usually yellow. They seem to come from the end of a hair strand (the white part, forgot what it was called). I never found out/learned about this problem (if it is a problem). I wash my hair 24/7. I havent been to the beach in a long time either. Can you please help???? It would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried changing shampoo's and also Do you blow dry your hair? sounds like your hair dryer maybe to hot and burning the ends of your hair. or it could be the shampoo you are using try washing your hair with something different and stay away from hair products that contain alcohol this will cause your hair to dry. Be sure to have a Dr. check to see if its head lice as well lice does get sandy.
