Why is it permissable for black people to be "racist", yet it is not okay for white people

I am at an historically black college, although I really did not want to go here; I only went because it was the cheapest college available to me. Actually my mother is white and my father is black, so although most people in this area are black I feel sort of a connection with both races, and it really seems like white people are nicer and have money and nicer things. I also have "hair like a white person." So I guess I have just found that I connect more with white people, although I have no problem with black people; trust me, I have to stay with my father at his mother's house when I am not on campus. But at this college they often make exclusive references to black people, like a sign that said "Strong Black Males," although there are some people here who are not black. I personally found the sign to be offensive, and I am sure other people who are not black may have been offended too.

Dude, why don't you color your skin white and get it over with. Yes, I understand that blacks shouldn't have a sign that says strong black males, but to argue against black magazines and black history month is ridiculous. Black History month celebrates African Americans who have paved the way for other African Americans. They have contribute to society in so many ways. And in fact, if it wasn't for them, you probably wouldn't be half white right about now. What about Latin magazines. What about Latin festivals, Japanese festivals, etc, etc. I have seen them all. I guess you would have a problem with the Latin Grammy too, or is it just BET awards? It is a cultural thing. I can't believe somebody black is arguing over something like this. Not too many whites could care less. Tell your daddy to take you out of that school and go to a predominately white school like you always wanted. Leave blacks alone and you will be happy.

Sorry to call you black, I meant biracial. Just hope you know, it doesn't matter if you are half white, white people won't consider you white at all.

Edit: I also find it funny that you relate to white people because you have straight hair, and the only reason why you are around black people (like your family) is because you have to. It seems that you are racist against blacks. It is nothing new to have a biracial hate their black half of his/herself.

That is an excellent question I have always pondered. I do not think there is a need for "White History month" in the first place, but that is aside the point. There is always so much uproar these days even if a person says something to downplay a person who is of another race aside causcasian even if it has absolutely nothing to do with their race. The other day I drove past a fire station that said "Black Firefighters association"

I am sure if white people had a "White firefighters Association" there would be uproar.

I have no problem with any race at all, but it does puzzle me as to why these sort of associations exist, its like they are segregating themselves.
